Hello, my name is Buddy Blackman and I am a Real estate instructor at the Fayetteville Real Estate School, I am also an active real estate broker and have been in the real estate business for over 20 years.
If you are watching this video……..it is because you are registered to take the Pre-Licensing class also known as the get your real estate license class.
The real estate class is difficult class to pass…………… if you don’t know and don’t do what is needed to pass this class.
Rest assured, I am here to give you the GPS to pass the real estate class. Normally, we all use and follow a GPS to get to a certain place. My GPS will inform you on how and what you need to do in order to pass the real estate class and pass your state licensing exam.
When I took the real estate class……over 20 years ago,,,, we didn’t have these extra study materials to use and I had to use the official North Carolina real estate 800 page manual. Unlike, fortunately, you are using the 275 page text book that has only the information and topics that you need to pass !
That is your main goal for taking the class ???? correct ?
We here at the Real Estate School in Fayetteville provide our students with a:
Printed text book
An online text book
Online study material
Online practice unit quizzes and online practice test
We have designed and provide a printed math workbook
We also provide you with a pen and calculator.
I will now cover how to use each of the items we provide you.
Understand the Importance of the Pre-Licensing Class
The pre-licensing class is designed to provide you with the foundational knowledge required to pass your state licensing exam and excel in the real estate industry. This includes topics like:
Real estate law and contracts
Property ownership and transfer
Real estate finance
Agency relationships
State-specific regulations
By understanding the value of this course, you can approach it with the seriousness it deserves.
Commit to a Study Schedule
Passing the pre-licensing class requires consistent effort. Here's how to manage your time effectively:
Set a Schedule: Dedicate specific hours each day to study. Treat it like a job.
Break It Down: Divide the curriculum into manageable sections and set goals for mastering each topic.
Review Regularly: Revisit past material to reinforce your understanding and retain key concepts.
You need to read ahead of the instructor. When the instructor covers a certain topic, you should have already read this topic in the text Book.
As you read the text book, highlight (with a highlighter) what you believe to be important items.
Actively Engage in Class
Success starts in the classroom. Whether you’re attending in-person or online, take an active role in your learning:
Ask Questions: If you don’t understand a concept, ask your instructor for clarification. Real estate law, in particular, can be tricky.
Take Notes: Write down key points during lectures to reinforce your memory. I highly suggest that get a composition book to take SPECIAL NOTES that your instructor suggest that you write down……
These are MUST know items that are highly testable…… meaning you will probably see this exact item on the test.
Participate: Group discussions and activities can deepen your understanding and help you retain information better.
